Virtual reality is an immersive experience that can be intense. Frightening, violent or anxiety provoking content can cause your body to react as if it were real. Carefully choose your content if you have a history of discomfort or physical symptoms when experiencing these situations. A comfortable virtual reality experience requires an unimpaired sense of motion and balance, Do not use the headset when you are: Tired; need sleep; under the influence of alcohol or drugs; hung-over; have digestive problems; under emotional stress or anxiety, or when suffering from cold, flu, headaches, migraines, or earaches, as this can increase your susceptibility to adverse symptoms, We recommend seeing a doctor before using the headset if you are pregnant, elderly, have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities or psychiatric disorders, or suffer from a heart condition or other serious medical condition. Some people (about 1 in 4000) may have severe dizziness, seizures, eye or muscle twitching or blackouts triggered by light flashes or patterns, and this may occur while they are watching TV, playing video games or experiencing virtual reality, even if they have never had a seizure or blackout before or have no history of seizures or epilepsy. Anyone who experiences any of these symptoms should discontinue use of the headset and see a doctor. If you previously have had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an epileptic condition should see a doctor before using the headset. The headset produces an immersive virtual reality experience that distracts you from and completely blocks your view of your actual surroundings. Always be aware of your surroundings before beginning use and while using the headset with controllers (when applicable). Use caution to avoid injury. Use of the headset with controllers (when applicable) may cause loss of balance. Remember that the objects you see in the virtual environment do not exist in the real world, so don’t sit or stand on them or use them for support.
By attending any “Matrix Hereford” locations or events, you release Matrix Hereford from any and all liability – financial or otherwise – that may arise from your attendance to the fullest extent of the law.
You agree to take responsibility for yourself and all minors/children which attend as part of your booking, and release Matrix Hereford from any liability – financial or otherwise – that arise from their attendance to the fullest extent of the law.
You understand that you will not be aware of your physical surroundings and what that means for your safety, those attending with you and those around you. You must not interfere with those with a VR headset on and will not encourage others either.
You understand that some people experience nausea, disorientation, motion sickness, general discomfort, headaches or other health issues when experiencing virtual reality.
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while playing video games.
Parents should watch for or ask their children about the above symptoms. Children and teenagers are more likely than adults to experience these seizures. If you or any of your relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing video games.
During outdoor events you must take care when exploring the area, and that Matrix Hereford has no control over anything which happens outside of their premises. You must use good judgement, common sense and abide by all local laws when engaging in Matrix Hereford events which take place outside of their premises.
You confirm you agree to pay for any and all damages caused by yourself or anyone else in your party, however they may be caused to Matrix Hereford equipment or property.
